Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology was established in the year 1987 as Regional Engineering College and was given the status of National Institute of Technology (Deemed University) by the Government of India on October 17, 2002 under the aegis of Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya), New Delhi. Now the Ministry of Education (Shiksha Mantralaya), Government of India has declared the Institute as “Institute of National Importance” under the act of Parliament-2007.

Description

Online Applications are invited from motivated and eligible candidates for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project entitled “Development of smart magnetorheological elastomers, gels, and fluids using metal oxide-carbon nanofibers and liquid metals” sponsored by Science and Engineering Research Board (SERB), Government of India. Selected candidate will be involved in the experimental study of materials under the influence of magnetic field. The experimental study shall also comprise the study of magnetic nanoparticles for variety of applications which includes waste water treatment.

Duration of the project: Initial appointment (ON PURELY TEMPORARY BASIS) is for one year, which is extendable based on the performance. Selected candidate will be encouraged to get admitted into the PhD Programme under the sanctioned project as per the Institute norms.

Eligibility requirements:First class M.E./M.Tech./M.Sc in Chemistry/Environmental science/Nanotechnology/ Engineering and Related Areas.

Desirable Knowledge: Experimental experience related to Materials/Nanotechnology/Rheology/water treatment with good academic credentials are desirable.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs. 31,000 + HRA) per month
