Department of Water Supply and Sanitation was initially known a Public Health Branch of PWD which came into existence in the year 1956. Prior to that it was functioning as a part of Building and Roads Branch. The department was responsible for all types of Public Health Engineering Works viz. Water Supply and Sanitary installation in Government Buildings/Institutions and Public Health Engineering works in Urban Estate, grain markets etc. In the year 1975, functions of Punjab PWD (Public Health Branch) were vertically split up into three wings viz. Govt. Works, Rural Water Supply Works and Works of Local Body department. The Govt. Works Wing was responsible for Public Health Works in all Govt. buildings, Urban Estate, Harijan Basties and grain markets etc. Rural Water Supply Wing was responsible for design, construction and maintenance of Rural Water Supply Schemes whereas Local Bodies Wing was responsible for the provision of water supply and sewerage in Municipal Areas. On 1st January 1977, Local Body Works Wing was converted into a Board and named as Punjab Water Supply and Sewerage Board.

Java Full Stack Developer B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech/M.Sc./MCA degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or a related subject from recognized university with minimum 60% aggregate. Experience in Java/J2EE, spring/spring boot, hibernate, restful web services with integrations layer experience is must.
Database Administrator BS/MS/MCA/MBA degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
System Analyst Regular B.E. (IT/CS/EC) / B.Tech (IT/CS/EC) / M.Sc. in (IT/CS/EC) OR Regular Masters of Computer Application (MCA) from recognized University or Institution with 60% aggregate marks (or First Division) in each case.
Java Application Developer Regular B.E. (IT/CS/EC) / B.Tech (IT/CS/EC) / M.Sc. in (IT/CS/EC)

(IT/CS/EC) / B.Tech (IT/CS/EC) / M.Sc. in (IT/CS/EC/ Remote Sensing/ GIS/ GeoInformatics / Geospatial Technologies / Spatial Technology/ Geology/ Applied Geology/ Geography) / MCA AND essential minimum PG Diploma in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ GeoInformatics / Geospatial Technologies / Spatial Technology/ Geology/ Applied Geology.
OR
M.E. or M.Tech in Remote Sensing/ GIS/ Geo-Informatics / Geospatial Technologies / Spatial Technology/ Geology/ Applied Geology from recognised University or Institution with 60% aggregate marks (or First Division) in each case (i) and (ii) above Required Experience:-
At least four years relevant experience in the field of Remote Sensing & GIS with proficiency on working on Arc GIS software.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Java Full Stack Developer Rs. 50,000/- month to Rs. 80,000/- per month based on experience
- Database Administrator Rs. 40,000/- month to Rs. 60,000/- per month based on experience
- System Analyst Rs. 40,000/- month to Rs. 60,000/- per month based on experience
- Java Application Developer Rs. 40,000/- month to Rs. 60,000/- per month based on experience
- Software Tester 01 Rs. 35,000/- month to Rs. 55,000/- per month based on experience
- GIS Specialist 01 Rs. 30,000/- per month to Rs.50,000/- per month based on experience
