Description
The Department of Biochemistry at the Central University of Rajasthan is conducting a research project titled “Genomics assisted improvement of scented rice from Assam (Joha) and Manipur for yield enhancement under stress and improved nutrition.” This project is funded by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, and aims to enhance the yield and nutritional quality of these rice varieties under stress conditions.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess an M.Sc. in Biochemistry, Botany, Life Science or any branch of life sciences with a good academic record from a recognized university/institute as per UGC norms. For the JRF position, candidates should have qualified GATE or other national level examinations conducted by central agencies like CSIR and DBT. The age limit is 28 years, with age relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST candidates and up to 3 years for OBC candidates.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Junior Research Fellow: Rs. 37,000 + 9% HRA
- Project Assistant: Rs. 20,000 + 9% HRA
