Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by Government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency. During the initial project period between 1968 and 1973, the institute achieved the targets envisaged and was rated as one of the most successful UNDP projects implemented worldwide. Today CIPET is a premier Academic institution for higher & technical education under the Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India fully devoted in all the domains of plastics viz:- Design, CAD/CAM/CAE, Tooling & Mould Manufacturing, Production Engineering, Testing and Quality Assurance. CIPET operates from various locations spread across the country to cater the needs of the Polymer and allied industries.

Description

Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project undertaken in the School for Advanced Research in Petrochemicals(SARP)-Laboratory for Advanced Research in Polymeric Material(LARPM), Bhubaneswar

Position

  1. Project Associate-I(PA-I) – 01 Post
  2. Project Assistant – 01 Post

Eligibility

For Project Associate-I(PA-I):
M.Sc./MTech in Physics/Materials Science /Nanotechnology or equivalent
qualification with first class in PG degree.
NET/GATE qualified candidates shall be preferred.
For Project Assistants:
Full time first class Graduation in 03 years Diploma in Eng. & Technology from a
recognized University.
Experience in handling of reputed Research Laboratories.

For Project Associate-I(PA-I):
Candidates with strong knowledge on electrochemistry, materials science and
battery materials.
Fabrication and evaluation of batteries.
For Project Assistants:
Candidates with strong knowledge on designing software’s including CAD,
CAM, NX, Solid works, Ansys etc., and additive manufacturing will be preferred.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • For Project Associate-I(PA-I) – Rs.31,000/- p.m + 18% HRA
  • For Project Assistants – Rs.20,000/- p.m + 18% HRA
