The Junior Research Fellow position at ANGRAU is a contractual role under the SERB project aimed at enhancing sesame crop yield and quality through advanced genetic mapping techniques. The selected candidates will work at the Regional Agricultural Research Station in Tirupati for a period of four months or until the project is completed. Project Details
Project Title: “Genome wide Association Mapping for Yield and Quality traits in Sesame (sesame lnedicum) in the Department of Plant Breeding, AICRP on Sesame”.
Period: 4 Months or till completion of project.
Eligibility
Candidates must possess an M.Sc. (Ag) in Genetics & Plant Breeding, Biotechnology, or M.Sc. in Life Sciences from an ICAR-accredited university. Preference will be given to candidates with NET certification. The role requires candidates to have a strong foundation in plant genetics and breeding techniques.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 31,000/- per month + HRA for candidates selected through National Eligibility Tests (NET) or equivalent.
- Rs. 25,000/- per month + HRA for other candidates.

The interview will be held in the Chamber of the Associate Director of Research at the Regional Agricultural Research Station, Tirupati. Candidates must bring original certificates, publications, thesis, and proof of date of birth, along with one set of photocopies of these documents. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
