Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) (formerly known as Central Institute of Plastics Engineering & Technology (CIPET)) was established in 1968 by Government of India with the assistance of United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) at Chennai. The main objective of setting up of this specialized institute was to develop manpower in different disciplines of Plastics Engineering & Technology as no similar institute was in existence in the country. International Labour Organization (ILO) served as the executing agency.

CIPET: SARP-LARPM invites applications from young and dynamic researchers to work under DSTAMT sponsored project entitled “Scalable Micro Porous Polymer Film as a Separator for Secondary Lithium Battery Applications” [DST/TDT/AM/2022/169(G)].

Junior Research Fellow(JRF) Full time M.Sc., (Physics / Materials Science/ /Nanotechnology/ Chemistry or equivalent qualification with first class in PG degree as well as qualified NET/GATE. or P.G Degree in Professional Courses: M.E/M.Tech., (Materials Science/ Nanotechnology/Applied Science) Preferable: Previous experience in the Li-ion battery, electrode, electrolyte for battery application & Hands on experience in the material synthesis, characterization. GATE/NET Qualified candidate shall be offered the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) whereas nonGATE/NET may be offered as Project Associate-I as per DST Norms
Research Associate-I Full time PhD in Engineering & Science in the field of Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry, etc with experience in Li-ion battery cell fabrication and testing.
