IIT Dharwad has more than 70 ongoing projects for which project staff will be engaged at various levels as and when the need arises. IIT Dharwad invites young and dynamic individuals to work on these challenging projects.

IIT Dharwad is an Institute of National Importance created by an Act of Parliament in 2016. IIT Dharwad has been steadily establishing its operations in its present campus while at the same time, master plan development and construction of permanent campus infrastructure are also in progress. To cater the Institute’s temporary requirement under a project in the Department of Mechanical Materials & Aerospace Engineering.

Description

IIT Dharwad is an Institute of National Importance created by an Act of Parliament in 2016. To cater the Institute’s requirement under a project in the Department of Biosciences and Bioengineering, IIT
Dharwad intends to hold an Online Selection Process for the following (Project Research Scientist) temporary position:1 Year.

1. Research related to microbiology and Raman spectroscopy on uro-pathogens and clinical urine samples.
2. The candidate should work in close collaboration with current lab members.

Eligibility

Position: Project Research Scientist -1 (Non-medical) Essential Qualification:

(1) First-class postgraduate degree including the integrated PG degree.
(2) Second-class postgraduate degree, including the integrated PG degree with Ph.D.
(3). For Engineering/IT/CS-First class graduate degree of four years.

Desirable Qualification: First class degree in M. Tech or MSc.
(Biotechnology/Biophysics/Computational biology/Life-Sciences)
with GATE or equivalent Experience in spectroscopy, coding, microbiology, clinical sample handling.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs.56,000/-+ 16% House Rent Allowance per month
