Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education ICFRE was initiated way back towards the end of the nineteenth century with the advent of scientific forestry in India and the establishment of the Forest School in Dehradun in 1878. It was on 5^th June 1906 subsequently that the Imperial Forest Research Institute was founded by Government of India for taking forward forestry research in the country.  In 1986 the Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education or ICFRE was formed as an umbrella organisation for taking care of forestry research, education and extension needs of the country. Finally on 1st June 1991, the ICFRE was declared an autonomous Council under the then Ministry of Environment and Forests and registered as a Society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860.

A walk-in-Interview for selection of candidate for engagement of the various posts under the project mentioned below

Position

• Project Assistant (PA)
  • Population status, collection, conservation, characterization, and evaluation of genetic resources of Indian Rosewood, Dalbergia latifolia Project Duration: 2019-25 (Place of Posting (Jharkhand] (AICRP-28)
  • Study for assessment of damage and calculation of environmental compensation from legally and illegally operated stone mines in Birbhum districts. Project Duration: 6 month
• Field Assistant (FA)
  • Varietal development of Flemingia semialata and Flemingia macrophylla used for lac cultivation from identified genotype through progeny evaluation and mass selection. Project Duration: 2021-2026 (Place of Posting Jharkhand)
  • Documentation and assessment of plant diversity of Sacred Groves of major tribes in Jharkhand: Project Duration: 2021-2024

Eligibility

• Project Assistant (PA) – Population status, collection, conservation, characterization, and evaluation of genetic resources of Indian Rosewood, Dalbergia latifolia Project Duration: 2019-25 (Place of Posting (Jharkhand] (AICRP-28)
  • Essential: B.Sc(Ag.)or, B.Sc(Plant Biotechnology), B.Sc (Biotechnology), B.Sc (Botany), B.Sc(Forestry) Desirable: (i) One year research/ teaching experience in relevant field. (ii) Knowledge of handling computer (MS Office, Data Entry) and statistics will be given preference.

  • Essential: B.Sc in Computer Science/Computer application/ BCA
• Field Assistant (FA) -Varietal development of Flemingia semialata and Flemingia macrophylla used for lac cultivation from identified genotype through progeny evaluation and mass selection. Project Duration: 2021-2026 (Place of Posting Jharkhand)
  • Essential: Intermediate in Science (l.Sc) or 10+2 in Science
  • Desirable:
  • (i) One year research/ teaching experience in relevant field.
  • (ii) Knowledge of handling computer (MS Office, Data Entry) and statistics will be given preference.
• Field Assistant (FA) – Documentation and assessment of plant diversity of Sacred Groves of major tribes in Jharkhand: Project Duration: 2021-2024
  • Essential: Intermediate in Science (I.Sc) or 10+2 in Science
  • Desirable:
  • (i) The candidate having knowledge of Computer (MS Office, data entry).
  • (ii) Capable of extensive touring in forest areas.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Project Assistant (PA) Rs. 19000/- pm
• Field Assistant (FA) Rs. 17000/- pm

How to Apply

A walk-in-Interview for selection of candidate for engagement of the various posts under the project mentioned below will be held at IFP, Ranchi on 30.11.2021 (Tuesday). Interested and eligible candidates are requested to report for interview at IFP, Ranchi on 30.11.2021 (Tuesday) at 9.30 A.M. as per their qualifying criteria

The engagement will be governed by the rules of JRF/JPF/SFR/SPF/RA/PA/FA of ICFRE, Dehradun. The engagement will be purely temporary, time bound and co-terminus with the project. The awardees will not be allowed to quit during the study/project period.
Candidates appearing for interview should bring with them dully signed bio-data along with a recent passport size coloured photograph and attested copies of all the academic certificates and relevant documents related to SC/ST/OBC, age, educational qualification, Mark sheets from 10lh class to onwards and experiences.
