Visva-Bharati is a central research university and an Institution of National Importance located in Shantiniketan, West Bengal, India. It was founded by Rabindranath Tagore who called it Visva-Bharati, which means the communion of the world with India. In May 1951, Visva-Bharati was declared to be a Central University and “An Institution of National Importance” by an Act of Parliament. It was granted the status of a unitary, teaching and residential university. The status and function of all the major institutions have been redefined in successive Amendments.

Eligibility

Position: Paragraph

JRF: M.Sc with minimum of 55% marks, qualified in NET/GATE.

Age limit: JRF-28 years
Age relaxable up to 5 years for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and Women candidates.
The project is tenable upto 31st July, 2024 depending on the progress of the project. Other terms and conditions will be governed by CSIR and Visva-Bharati rules.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Fellowship: Rs. 31000/-per month
• HRA and Medical Allowances as per CSIR and Visva-Bharati rules.
