The ICMR-NITHR is seeking qualified candidates to fill several research positions on a temporary basis. These roles are part of a project aimed at enhancing health research capabilities and outcomes in tribal areas. The positions are available for a period of three months or until the finalisation of the Manpower Outsourcing Gem Contract, whichever is earlier. Project Title: “ADOPT- HTAIN (Health Technology Assessment in India)”
Project Research Scientist-I:
Project Title: “Development and Validation of Sero surveillance Tools Using Human Antibody Responses to Plasmodium vivax and Plasmodium falciparum in India”, funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR)”
- Consultant (Medical):
Project Title: “A non-inferiority randomized trial to assess the efficacy of 10mg hydroxyurea/kg/day versus 20mg hydroxyurea/kg/day in treatment of sickle cell diseases patients of tribal and non-tribal areas in India”.
Project Nurse:
Project Title: “Effectiveness of a digital diabetes prevention initiative in Indian cities: Hybrid type 2 pragmatic cluster randomized control trial using mHealth (ICMR-DPCI)”
Project Field Officer:
Project Title: “ADOPT- HTAIN (Health Technology Assessment in India)”
Duration: three months or till the finalisation of Manpower Outsourcing Gem Contract.
Eligibility
- Project Research Scientist (Medical/Non-Medical): MBBS/BVSc/BDS + Post Graduate Degree (MD/MVSc./MDS/MPH) or any equivalent degree, including integrated PG Degrees.
- Project Research Scientist-II: Post Graduate Degree in life science or equivalent, including the integrated PG Degrees, with three years post qualification experience or Ph.D.
- Consultant (Medical): MBBS/BDS degree from a recognized university.
- Project Nurse-IV: Degree in Nursing from an Institute recognized by Nursing Council of India with 3 years’ experience as staff Nurse.
- Project Nurse-III: Four-year Nursing course.
- Project Field Officer: Graduate in Science/ relevant subjects from a recognized university with 3 years of work experience from a recognized institution
- Project Technical Support-III: Three years graduate degree in relevant subject /field + three Years post qualification experience or PG in relevant subject /field. or 12th pass + two Years’ Experience in relevant subject/field.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Project Research Scientist-II: Rs. 67,000 + HRA
- Project Research Scientist-I: Rs. 56,000 + HRA
- Consultant (Medical): Rs. 64,000/- pm
- Project Nurse-IV: Rs. 40,000 + HRA
- Project Nurse-III: Rs. 28,000 + HRA
- Project Field Officer: Rs. 28,933/- pm
- Project Technical Support-III: Rs. 28,000/- + 20% HRA p.m.
- Project Assistant Multipurpose (Admin): Rs. 24,000/- + HRA as admissible
- Project Technical Support-II: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA as admissible p.m.

The post is purely temporary and co-terminable with the project. Preference will be given to the local candidates and having higher qualification and work experience. The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointment under ICMR/ ICMR-NITHR.
