The National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management (NIFTEM), an esteemed institute under the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India, is inviting applications for the position of Research Associate (RA). Description

NIFTEM is seeking a Research Associate on a contractual basis to work on projects related to food science, food safety, and ultra-processed foods policymaking. The position is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and institutional requirements. The selected candidate will be stationed at the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Panchsheel Bhawan, New Delhi.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Food Technology, Food Technology & Management, or Food and allied Sciences, including Basic Sciences relevant to Food Science. A minimum of one year of experience in food processing, food regulation, or food quality is essential. Desirable qualifications include expertise in the nutraceutical sector, food safety, food adulteration awareness, and experience in policy drafting or capacity building. The age limit is 35 years, with applicable relaxations for women, SC/ST/OBC, and differently abled candidates as per government rules.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• ₹58,000 plus House Rent Allowance (HRA) as admissible
