NIMHANS is conducting a walk-in selection process to fill the position of Community Nurse. The project is led by Dr. Jagadisha Thirthalli, Professor and Head of the Department of Psychiatry at NIMHANS. The selected candidates will work in Thirthahalli Town and Taluk and surrounding rural areas, contributing to a significant community health initiative.

Project Details

Project Title: “Nurse-led Interventions for Alcohol Use Disorder in a Rural Community (NIARC): a Feasibility Study in a Private Setting”.

Duration: 1 Year

Principal Investigator:  Dr. Jagadisha Thirthalli

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.Sc. in Nursing or an equivalent qualification. Proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing Kannada is essential. Experience in mental health or addiction services is desirable. The maximum age limit for applicants is 40 years.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 21,000/- plus 30% HRA

Interested candidates who meet the eligibility criteria should attend the walk-in-cum-written test. Applicants must bring their resume, original testimonials, and a set of self-attested photocopies. The selection process will take place on 9th September 2026 at 10:30 AM in the Board Room and Exam Hall on the 4th floor of the NBRC Building, NIMHANS, Bangalore. Candidates are advised to report 30 minutes before the scheduled time. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the test/interview.
