Description

The project “Primer on Disaster Resilient Infrastructure (PODRI)” is an initiative to create a high-quality, self-paced, open-access online course. This course will cover approximately 8-10 hours of asynchronous learning, focusing on disaster-resilient infrastructure across various sectors such as transport, power, social, and buried infrastructure. The course is designed to be relevant to students, faculty, policymakers, financiers, engineers, and disaster risk reduction professionals worldwide. The selected candidates will work under the guidance of an international team from IIT Mandi, University of Canterbury, and Durham University.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a PhD in a relevant subject such as disaster risk reduction, natural hazards, or infrastructure. Desirable criteria include strong analytical, writing, and organisational skills, publications in top-tier journals, and an interest in online learning, infrastructure resilience, and global disaster risk reduction practices.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs 70,000 per month (HRA as applicable)
