Description

The Division of Biochemistry at IARI, New Delhi, is conducting a walk-in interview for a temporary contractual position of Junior Research Fellow. This role is part of a project focused on the nutritional and nutraceutical potential of Naga fermented soybean, Axone/Akhuni. The project is funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and offers a unique opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in food biochemistry and related fields.

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Eligibility

Candidates must possess an M.Sc. or MTech degree (including Integrated MTech 4+2) in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Plant Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Food Science, or a relevant discipline from a recognized university. While NET/GATE qualification is not mandatory, it is preferred. Desirable qualifications include experience in food biochemistry, extrusion/functional analysis, and biochemical techniques. The maximum age limit is 35 years, with age relaxation of 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST/Women candidates as per Government of India rules.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • ₹37,000/- +HRA Per month. 

How to Apply

Interested candidates should report for the walk-in interview at 09:30 A.M. on 17th August 2026, at the Division of Biochemistry, ICAR-IARI, Pusa Campus, New Delhi 110012. Candidates must bring a completed biodata as per the format provided in Annexure-I, along with self-attested copies of certificates and mark sheets from 10th grade onwards. A recent passport-size photograph should be affixed to the biodata. If currently employed, a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the employer is required.
