Description
The JRF position is part of a project titled “Model-Guided Deep Beneficiation of High-Ash Indian Coal below 15% Ash via Dense Medium Separation with Pre-Treatment of Near-Density Materials.” The project is led by Dr. Chandan Guria, a professor in Petroleum Engineering at IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. The research focuses on optimizing coal beneficiation techniques to improve the quality of Indian coal, which is crucial for energy production and industrial applications.

Eligibility
Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech/M.E./MTech in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Fuel and Mineral Engineering with a minimum of 6.5 CGPA or 60% marks from a recognized institute or university. Additionally, candidates must be GATE or NET qualified. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in coal characterization, mineral liberation studies, washability analysis, and coal beneficiation techniques.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 37,000/- per month for the first two years
- Rs. 42,000/- per month during the third year, subject to successful external assessment
