Project Details
Project Title: ” Mapping and mobilization of leaf rust resistance genes from Indian landraces to broaden the genetic base for improvement of wheat varieties”.
Tenure: The posts are purely temporary and will be filled on contractual basis initially for up to 31.03.2027 or till completion of project whichever is earlier and may be extended periodically subject to performance till the termination of the project.

Eligibility
- Project Associate I: Master’s degree in Genetics/Plant Breeding/ Genetics and Plant Breeding/Biotechnology with 4/5 years’ bachelor’s degree. Those with 3 years’ bachelor’s degree must have NET.
- Field Investigator: Graduate degree in any discipline. Knowledge of working in lab, field and glasshouse.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Project Associate I: Rs. 31,000 + HRA
- Field Investigator: Rs. 18,000/- + HRA per month
