Description

The Department of Biological Sciences at IISER Bhopal is seeking applications for a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) position. The selected candidate will work on a project titled “Investigating the role of Frizzled2-mediated alternative Wnt signaling in regulating non-autonomous cellular activities in Drosophila epithelial tissues.” This project is funded by the ANRF under the Advanced Research Grant Program and will span a duration of 36 months. The research involves a combination of Drosophila genetics, confocal microscopy, molecular biology approaches, and cell culture techniques.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a post-graduate degree in Biological Sciences from a recognized University/Institute with a minimum of 60% marks or a CGPA of 7.5 and above on a scale of 10. Additionally, candidates should have qualified for the CSIR-UGC NET/GATE or any other similar national level exam as per ANRF rules. Preference will be given to candidates with strong hands-on experience in confocal microscopy, molecular biology, and cell culture techniques.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • ₹37,000/- + HRA per month for JRF as per applicable norms
