Description

The project titled “Design, Development, and Testing of AI-Assisted Indigenous Smart Thermal Protective Clothing for Improved Firefighter Safety” is a significant initiative under the Department of Mechanical Engineering at NIT Silchar. The selected candidate will work closely with Dr. Dipankar Bhanja, the Principal Investigator, to develop innovative solutions that enhance the safety and efficiency of firefighting gear.

Position

• Project Associate-I (PA-I)

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.E./B. Tech./M.E./M. Tech. degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Communication, or Electrical Engineering. Experience in experimental thermal measurements, including the use of thermocouples and data acquisition systems, is desirable. The age limit is 35 years, with relaxations applicable as per Government of India rules for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PWD candidates.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• INR 30,000 per month plus 10% HRA as per Institute norms
