TISS Recruitment for Ashram School Evaluation Study

Description

The Tata Institute of Social Sciences is conducting an evaluation study of Government-aided Ashram Schools in Maharashtra. This study focuses on assessing the quality of education, health, food, nutrition, and other services provided to tribal children. The project will evaluate the current functioning and conditions of these schools, identifying issues and challenges faced by them. The study is spread across four tribal zones and 22 districts of Maharashtra.

Position

  • Research Investigator (RI) – 15 positions
  • Research Assistant (RA) – 4 positions
  • Research Officer (RO) – 1 position
  • Secretariate-cum-Accountant – 1 position

Eligibility

Research Investigator (RI): 1. Graduate in any discipline with experience of data collection in remote tribal areas (BSW will be given preference) 2. fluency in Marathi and English 3. willing to travel and stay in tribal remote areas

Research Assistant (RA): 1. post-graduate in any discipline with experience of data collection and monitoring fieldwork in remote tribal areas (MSW will be given preference) 2. fluency in Marathi and English 3. willing to travel in tribal remote areas, coordinating data collection and dealing with multiple stakeholders in the field, etc.

Research Officer (RO): 1. PhD in Social Work or in Social Sciences with special focus on education, experience of working in field of tribal education, having published research papers in the domain of education, etc. Candidates who are about to submit their PhD or waiting for PhD viva are eligible to apply.

Secretariate-cum-Accountant: 1. Graduate in any discipline with desirable knowledge of accounts. 2. Willing to engage in all kinds of secretarial work. Working knowledge of statistical soft wear and other digital skills.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Research Investigator: Competitive salary based on experience
  • Research Assistant: Competitive salary based on experience
  • Research Officer: Competitive salary based on experience
  • Secretariate-cum-Accountant: Competitive salary based on experience
