The National Institute of Technology Agartala, in collaboration with the Electronics and ICT Academy at NIT Patna, is hosting a transformative two-week online Faculty Development Program (FDP) from July 6 to July 18, 2026. This program focuses on “Digital Twin and AI-Driven Solutions for Sustainable EV Mobility,” aiming to equip educators, researchers, and industry professionals with cutting-edge knowledge and skills in these rapidly evolving fields.

Understanding the Synergy of Digital Twin, AI, and EV Technologies

The FDP is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the integration of digital twin (DT), artificial intelligence (AI), and electric vehicle (EV) technologies. Participants will explore the role of DT-enabled AI and EV technology in both grid-connected and isolated smart charging systems. This program blends theoretical knowledge with practical applications, fostering a collaborative environment for research and innovation in AI-driven smart energy systems.

  • Applications of AI and ML methods in control and optimization for Digital Twin development.
  • Recent trends and advancements in AI DT-enabled EV charging infrastructure and standards.
  • Smart power converter systems for EV synergy.
  • IoT-driven V2G/G2V and V2X technologies.
  • Information communication technology (ICT) and protocols for DT-enabled EV charging systems.
  • DT-driven anomaly detection, classification, and mitigation methods for cyber-physical systems.
  • HIL and PHIL implementation of smart energy systems in real-time simulation environments.
  • Hands-on co-simulation platforms such as Maxwell/Ansys, OpenDSS-Python, etc.

Program Structure and Participation

The FDP will be conducted online, featuring 24 hours of theory sessions, 16 hours of lab sessions, and 2 hours on pedagogy/writing tools. Expert-led live online hands-on learning and interactive query sessions will be a highlight of the program. E-certificates will be awarded to participants who attend more than 70% of the sessions and complete the online assessments.

Who Can Participate?

The program is open to faculty members, research scholars from recognized universities in India and abroad, and industry personnel. Selection will be on a first-come-first-serve basis, with a maximum of 100 participants.
