The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is seeking applications for the role of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for a project titled “Decentralized Federated Learning-assisted Irrigation Scheduling and Food Sustainability for Paddy Field in Fog Network.” This project is funded by the Department of Biotechnology and aims to integrate advanced research in modern science with practical applications in agriculture and technology.

Eligibility

Candidates should possess an MTech. /ME/MS/BS-MS degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or Electronics and Communication Engineering with a minimum CPI of 6.5 and a valid GATE/NET score within the last five years. Alternatively, a B.Tech./BE degree in the relevant fields with the same CPI and score requirements is acceptable. Candidates with a B.Tech/M.Tech degree with a minimum CPI of 8.0 from IITs/IISc/IISERs are exempt from the GATE/NET score requirement. Preference will be given to those with experience in Machine/Deep Learning and Lightweight Models.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs. 37,000 + HRA per month
