Description

The VNIT Nagpur is seeking applications from eligible candidates for the role of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a project titled “An Intelligent and Cost-Effective Solar PV Pumping System with Open-End Stator Wound Permanent Magnet Motor (i-Solar PMM-PUMP).” This project involves the design and development of a 5HP permanent magnet motor with open-end stator winding, specifically for solar water pumping applications. The project will utilize advanced software tools like ANSYS and MATLAB for design, followed by hardware development and testing using facilities such as Magnetizer, PV Emulator, and Universal Motor Test Bench. The ultimate goal is to produce an efficient, cost-effective, and CPRI-certified PV water pump, with a field-deployed pump in a nearby village as one of the deliverables.

Eligibility

Master’s or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering or other allied disciplines with 6.5 CGPA and above at both UG and PG (GATE Qualified).

Candidates must have a strong academic record with a minimum CGPA of 6.5 at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant disciplines. Additionally, candidates should be GATE qualified. Those who have submitted their master’s thesis is also eligible to apply. 

A good academic record and relevant skill set are desired. Selected candidates will have the opportunity to register for a PhD program at VNIT Nagpur, provided they meet the eligibility criteria.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA
