The Vellore Institute of Technology is seeking a Junior Research Fellow for a project funded by the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO). The project, titled “Generation of Optimized Welding Parameters for Similar and Dissimilar Joining of Monel 400 and Monel 500,” is a significant research initiative within the School of Mechanical Engineering. Eligibility

Candidates must possess an MTech/M. E or B.Tech/B. E in Metallurgical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Welding. Preference will be given to GATE-qualified candidates with strong skills in materials characterization.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000 + 10% HRA per month for GATE-qualified candidates. Others will be compensated as per institute norms.
