The ICAR-IARI is a premier institute dedicated to agricultural research and education. The current job opening for a Senior Research Fellow is a contractual position aimed at advancing research in agricultural knowledge management. The selected candidates will work on projects that integrate weather and remote sensing data to develop geo-spatial models for predicting crop pests and diseases, as well as contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of agricultural sciences.

Project Details
Project Title: “Integrating Weather and Remote Sensing Data for Developing Geo Spatial Forewarning Models for Crop Pests and Diseases”.
Duration: The appointment will be on purely temporary basis up to 31.03.2027 (likely to be extended until March 2028) or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier and the incumbent shall not have any claim for regular appointment under ICAR.
Eligibility
Candidates must possess a B.Tech or bachelor’s degree in computer sciences and a master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Information Security, or Information Sciences, or an MCA or equivalent from a recognized university. Additionally, candidates should have at least two years of research experience and knowledge in developing web-based systems, databases, and AI tools, along with statistical modelling skills.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 37,000 + HRA per month (as admissible)
