Department of Physics and Nanotechnology at SRMIST (Supported by DST-FIST, Govt. of India) offers undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs in Physics & Nanotechnology. These programs aim to have deeper insights into the various application areas of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology. Description

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on the following project, titled “Machine-learning assisted first-principles modeling and experimental exploration of magneto-electronic transport phenomena in framework-based low-dimensional molecular magnetic systems towards realistic nano-spintronics”, sponsored by DST-SERB (File No. CRG/2022/007836), at Department of Physics and Nanotechnology, SRMIST, Chennai, Tamil Nadu.

Eligibility

Essential Qualification
M.Sc./M.S./M.Tech in Physics or, Materials Science and Engineering or, Nanotechnology with Advanced Quantum Mechanics in one of his/her coursework. Candidates must have at least a 6.5/10 CGPA or 60% marks in aggregate from a recognized technical Institute or University as a full-time program.
Desirable Qualification
☛ NET/ GATE /JEST qualified
☛ Well-versed in Advanced Quantum Mechanics and Solid State Physics
☛ Proficient in FORTRAN 90/95, C/C++, MATLAB, PYTHON, or any other scientific language

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Rs. 31,000/- per month for the first two years and Rs. 35,000/- for the third year (applicable to NET/GATE/JEST qualified candidates only). House Rent Allowance (HRA) may only be allowed according to the Institute norm.
