Sports Authority of India (SAI) was set up in 1984 to carry forward the legacy of the IXth Asian Games held in New Delhi in 1982 under the Department of Sports. SAl has been entrusted with the twin objectives of promoting sports and achieving sporting excellence at the national and international level. SAI was set up as a Society registered of Societies Act, 1860 in pursuance of the Resolution No. 1-1/83/SAI dated 25th January 1984 of the Department of Sports, Govt. of India with the objective of promotion of Sports and Games as detailed in the Resolution. SAI has played a significant role in shaping India’s sports development by providing training to elite athletes and at the same time operating a number of schemes for the identification and development of young talent.
Sports Authority of India, Netaji Subhas Regional Centre, Lucknow was established at Lucknow in the year 2004. This Centre was inaugurated by the then Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee (Bharat Ratna) on 23rd February’ 2004. The present complex sprawled in 65 Acres of land provided by government of Uttar Pradesh. All the modern infrastructures, sports facilities required for the elite class of sportspersons are available at this Centre.

Eligibility
A recognized Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part II of the third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956).
Sports Authority of India (SAI) is an autonomous organization under the Administrative control of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports with its Head office at Jawaharlal Nehru Sports Complex, Lodhi Road, New Delhi-110003.
SAI has established 23 National Centres of Excellence across the country for training of young and elite athletes in various disciplines. These NCOEs are funded for several items inter-alia Sports Science staff through Khelo India Scheme of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. To strengthen the NCOEs SAI invites applications from eligible candidates for engagement of Doctors on contract basis at SAI NS NIS, PATIALA.
NUMBER OF VACANCY-
The total number of vacancy is 01 (One). The initial place of posting shall be NS NIS,PATIALA .However SAI reserves the right to transfer the selected candidates anywhere in India.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Doctor Consolidated monthly remuneration will be Rs 1,25,000/-only.
