Program Description

Online/Hybrid Short-Term Course on “Green and Sustainable Energy: Generation and Management (GSEGM)” (15 th –19thMay 2023) Organized by Department of Electrical Engineering National Institute of TechnologyKurukshetraKurukshetra-136119, Haryana, India

Energy efficiency is of dominant importance nowadays due to increasing electrical energy demand, increasing awareness of global warming & increase in prices of fossil fuels. Bridging this gap from the supply side is a very difficult and expensive proposition. Green and sustaibnable energy play an important role in bridging this gap with its rapid development. However, due to the uncertainty of renewable energy sources in the power network, operation and management become challenging.

The conventional methods cannot handle a wide range of uncertainties during the operation of such systems. The suitable power flow management thus becomes mandatory for the safe and reliable operation of the network integrated with sustainable energy systems.
The primary aim of this e-STC is to impart research skills to the beginners, and to improve the quality of research among the existing researchers in the thematic areas of renewable energy and its management.

This programme will bring a positive transformation among the faculty members, research scholars and participants from industries towards research work, and enable the participants to develop competence in understanding recent advances in proposed topic of the course. The participants will gain the knowledge of recent and future trends in renewable energy utilization.
