The Cantonment Board, Secunderabad is an urban local body under the administrative control of the Ministry of Defence, Government of India. It is constituted under the provisions of the Cantonments Act 1924 (succeeded by Cantonments Act 2006) to administer the Cantonment area, primarily responsible for carrying out the civic amenities to the residents of the Cantonment area. The Cantonments Act, 2006 imparts greater democratization and improves the financial base of Cantonments to make provision for developmental activities, etc. Presently there are 62 Cantonments in the country distributed among six army commands.

Eligibility
Assistant Cantonment Planner Passed Degree in B.E/ B.Tech (Civil) or equivalent from a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act, or Recognized by the University Grants Commission. Candidates possessing qualification in Auto CAD/ Survey/GIS/Design and Structural Engineering from Government recognized institute/ Masters in Civil Engineering.
Assistant Engineer (Civil] Passed Degree in B.E/ B.Tech (Civil) or equivalent from a University in India established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, State Act or Provincial Act, or Recognized by the University Grants Commission. Candidates possessing qualification in Auto CAD/ Survey/GIS/Design and Structural Engineering from Government recognized institute/ Masters in Civil Engineering.
Sanitary Inspector i)Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Science from any University in India established or incorporated by or under Central Act, Provincial Act, or a State Act or an Institution recognized by the UGC or an equivalent qualification. ii)Sanitary Inspector Training Course certificate awarded by the Chairman, Board of Technical Examinations constituted by the Government of Telangana or any State Govt. in India. Post Graduation in Biological Science.
Assistant Medical Officer MBBS degree from an institution/college recognised by the Medical Council of India/Govt of India. MD Gynaecology/ Paediatric/ General Medicine /Critical Care/ General Surgeon.
Pharmacist (Allopathy) D.Pharm passed from a recognized Board of Technical Education in India or equivalent recognized by a Govt. approved Health University Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy and PG (M.Pharm)
Nurses B.Sc (Nursing) or 03 years in General Nursing and Midwifery Course passed from recognized college approved by Nursing Council of India. Nursing Candidates must be registered as Nurse/Midwife with Central/State Nursing Councils. One year experience as a Staff Nurse in any recognized Hospital
Lab Assistant 12th Standard passed with Biology, Physics, Chemistry Certificate course in Medical Laboratory Technology. One year experience in any recognized Laboratory.
Dresser 12th Standard passed with Science Subjects (Physics, Chemistry and Biology) Or Equivalent from a recognized Board. Certificate course in ‘Dressing’ or ‘First Aid’ from a Govt. recognised institute. One year experience in recognized hospital.
Ward Servant 10th class passed from a recognized Board. One year experience as a Ward servant from a recognized hospital.
