The Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology, Surat popularly known as National Institute of Technology, Surat, NIT Surat or SVNIT, is an engineering institute of higher education established by the Parliament of India in 1961. This Institute was established in 1961 as one of the RECs for imparting technical education in Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering. In the year 1983-84 the Under Graduate programmes in Electronics Engineering was introduced and in the year 1988-89 the UG programmes in Computer Engineering and Production Engineering was started. In the year 1995-96, UG programme in Chemical Engineering was introduced. In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Act, 1956, the Central Government on the advice of the University Grants Commission, has declared the Sardar Vallabhbhai Regional College of Engineering & Technology (SVREC), Surat to Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT), Surat with status of “Deemed University” with effect from 4th December 2002.

Job Description

The eligible candidates meeting the following requirements and desiring to be considered for the above mentioned post on purely contract basis for sponsored research project in the area of “Emulsion based matrix for Controlled Release of Essential Oil” funded by Gujarat Council on Science and Technology (GUJCOST), Government of Gujarat, India; at the institute are hereby informed to submit the application with the required details (as per attached format) for the online Interview/tests at the date and time (to be declared after the last date of receiving the applications). Candidates having similar previous experience will be preferred. Selected candidate may get the chance to enroll for Ph.D. programme, as per institute norms. Eligibility

Eligibility & Experience: First class B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Allied branches or First Class M.E./M.Tech in Chemical Engineering/Allied branches or First Class M.Sc. Chemistry/Allied branches or First Class B.Pharm/M.Pharm.

Desirable: Proficiency in the field of Design of Drug Delivery systems.

Remuneration

• Rs.25000/- per month + HRA as applicable (GATE/NET qualified candidates)
• Rs.18720/- per month + HRA as applicable (non-GATE candidates)

How to Apply

The interested candidates will be required to note the following: –
i) The interested candidates will be required to send scanned copy of all their original certificates, mark sheets and a recent passport size photograph along with the filled in application form and detailed CV to the e-mail ID sundarsk@ched.svnit.ac.in within the last date i.e., 10th January 2024 at 17:00 Hrs.
ii) Candidates are requested to positively mention their e-mail ID and Mobile Number in the Application failing which their candidature may be rejected.
iii) The applications received within the last date & time stipulated will be screened by a selection committee and a list of eligible candidates shortlisted for interview will be hosted in the Institute’s official website along with the date and time schedule of the interview.The Candidates are requested to be online and ready at their end at that time. The Screening Committee will devise its own criteria for shortlisting of a candidate for interview. Merely fulfilling the main eligibility criteria does not entitle a candidate to be called for the interview.
iv) The Selection process may continue next day due to any unavoidable circumstances. If any change in date and time schedule of the interview occurs the same will be notified in the Institute’s website.
v) The decision of SVNIT, Surat in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance, screening, mode of selection will be final and binding on the candidates and no enquiry/correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or any agency on behalf of the candidate.
vi) Candidates should ensure that their application may be received through e-mail sundarsk@ched.svnit.ac.in on or before 10th January 2024 at 17:00 Hrs. Application received after the closing date/time will not be considered.
vii) The original documents of selected candidate will be verified at the time of joining and in the event of any information mentioned in application/CV/testimonials found false or incorrect, their candidature straightway shall be cancelled.
