One Year Full Time PG Certificate Programme in Welding And Quality Engineering (2021-22 Admissions) Jointly Organized By PSG College Of Technology, Coimbatore And BHEL Educational Society, Tiruchirappalli
Programme Introduction
Welding professionals with good exposure to theory and practical knowledge are in great demand globally. PSG College of Technology, an institution of repute for higher education in engineering and BHEL Educational Society, a society established by executives of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited, Tiruchirappalli for promoting education have come together to offer a Post Graduate Certificate Programme in ‘Welding and Quality Engineering’. A blend of theoretical learning on welding with hands on learning in welding shop floors is expected to make the students industry ready. In the past, major fabrication industries have been regularly absorbing the successful candidates; and the fourteenth batch starts in August 2021.
The programme includes theory and practical in the fields of welding engineering, non-destructive testing and quality control. Internship training at Welding Research Institute as well as at the fabrication shops of BHEL Tiruchirappalli is an important and integral part of this programme. The programme commences from August 16, 2021. Theory and laboratory courses will be conductedat PSG College of Technology by Department of Metallurgical Engineering in the first four months and the remaining period will be mainly devoted to internship training at BHEL, Tiruchirappalli.

Who can Apply?
Candidates who are completing B.E / B.Tech Degree in 2021in Mechanical, Production, Manufacturing, Metallurgical Engg, Automobile, Mechatronics and allied disciplines or equivalent, and who have passed out in 2020 in the same disciplines, are only eligible to apply. Candidates with no history of arrears and with a minimum aggregate of 6.5 CGPA or 65% in UG degree shall only be selected.
