Netaji Subhas Open University is the premier State Open University in India. The year 1997 was the birth centenary year of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. The Chief Minister of West Bengal made an announcement at a State function that an Open University would be set up soon and dedicated to Netaji’s hallowed memory. The Higher Education Minister, Govt. of West Bengal spearheaded the idea after his visit to the Open University in U.K. Under his instruction was set up a ten-member steering committee headed by late Dr. Bhaskar Ray Chowdhury, former Vice-Chancellor of Kolkata University.

Applications are invited for the position of one Project internship in Netaji Subhas Open University sponsored research project (Sanction no: Reg/ 1268 dated 22/11/2021 ) entitled “Bengal partition in Oral Narrative: Mapping micro narratives in five districts of West Bengali”, under the Principal Investigator (PI) Dr Manan Kumar Mandal, Professor of Bengali, School of Humanities, NSOU.

Eligibility
Position: Project internship
Qualification: M.A in Bengali, English, Comparative Literature, History with 55% marks. Fluent in Bengali report writing, transcription etc., moderate writing skill in English. Applicant should have at least one publication in national/ International/ State level ISSN journal. Knowledge in Partition Literature and about Bengal Partition.
Preferable: MS Word, Excel, Audio/ Video editing, having experience in field work. Tenure of the internship: 6 months
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Project internship Emoluments: 7500/- per month
