National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli (NIT Tiruchirappalli or NIT Trichy) is a national research university near the city of Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu, India. It was founded as Regional Engineering College Tiruchirappalli in 1964 by the Governments of India and Tamil Nadu under the affiliation of the University of Madras. The college was granted Deemed University status in 2003 with the approval of the University Grants Commission, All India Council for Technical Education and Government of India and renamed as National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli. National Institute of Technology Trichy is one of the 31 National Institutes of Technology established by the Government of India. Eligibility
B.E/B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Equivalent with minimum 60% or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university / institute. M.E./M.Tech/ MS (by research) in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology with minimum 60% or 6.5 CGPA from a recognized university / institute. Candidate must be selected through any one of the following:
a) National Eligibility Tests –CSIR –UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship).
b) GATE.
c) The selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their agencies and institutions such as DST, DBT, DAE, DOS, DRDO, MHRD, ICAR, ICMR, IIT, IISc, IISER etc.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
Rs. 31,000 + HRA per month for 1st and 2nd Year and
Rs. 35,000 + HRA per month for the 3rd Year
