Description
The research project, titled “Hydraulic and tribological characterization of additive manufactured fluid components based on experimental studies and optimization of process parameter for LPREs,” is spearheaded by Dr.-Ing. M. Duraiselvam, a distinguished professor in the Department of Production Engineering at NIT Tiruchirappalli. This project aims to explore advanced manufacturing techniques and optimize process parameters for liquid propulsion rocket engines (LPREs), with a focus on 3D CAD modelling, simulation, CFD analysis, and tribological characterization.

Eligibility
Junior Research Fellow: B.E/B.Tech or M.E/MTech with First class in Mechanical/Production/Metallurgy/Aero from UGC recognized University with valid GATE score.
- Project Associate I (PA-I): B.E/B.Tech or M.E/MTech with First class in Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgy/ Aero from UGC recognized University.
- Project Associate II (PA-II): B.E/B.Tech or M.E/MTech with First class in Mechanical/ Production/ Metallurgy/ Aero from UGC recognized University and 2 years’ experience in Research and Development in industrial or academic institutions.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- JRF: Rs. 37,000/- + 20% HRA (for GATE qualified candidates)
- Project Associate I: Rs. 31,000/- + 20% HRA
- Project Associate II: Rs. 35,000/- + 20% HRA
