The Department of Metallurgical & Materials Engineering at NIT Srinagar is seeking a dedicated Junior Research Fellow to join their research team. The project, led by Principal Investigator Dr. Prvan Kumar Katiyar and Co-PI Dr. Aravi Muzaffar, aims to explore the corrosion behaviour of stainless steels, which is crucial for the development of materials used in concentrated solar plants. This research is pivotal in advancing sustainable energy solutions and enhancing the durability of solar plant materials.

Eligibility
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engg./Metallurgical & Materials Engg/Materials Engg./ Mechanical/ Production Engg. and Master’s degree in Materials Science /Engg./ Technology/Tribology/Production
Desirable: The candidate have qualified GATE score.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 37,000/- per month (consolidated) plus 20% HRA for the first two years
- Rs. 42,000/- per month plus 20% HRA for the third year
