Description

The project “TARANG” is a cutting-edge research initiative focused on designing Terahertz wireless communication systems for the upcoming 6G technology. Sponsored by the TTDF/DoT, Government of India, this project seeks to enhance technologies to mitigate propagation loss in Terahertz channels. It also explores the application of artificial intelligence to develop low-complexity beam training and resource management strategies in wireless communication systems.

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a B.Tech/B. E or equivalent degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) and an MTech/M. E in ECE or equivalent. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or 6.5 CGPA is required for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL categories, and 55% aggregate marks or 6.0 CGPA for SC/ST/PwD categories. Alternatively, a CGPA of 7.5/10 or 70% of marks for GEN/GEN-EWS/OBC-NCL and 7.0/10 or 65% for SC/ST/PwD is acceptable. Candidates with or without valid GATE/NET scores are eligible. Desirable experience includes a strong understanding of digital communication, probability theory, optimization, and wireless communications, along with proficiency in MATLAB or Python.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • INR 37,000/- plus HRA per month
