Description

The National Institute of Technology Silchar is seeking a Junior Research Fellow for a project titled “Vibroacoustic response reduction in a functionally graded smart composite panel incorporating acoustic black hole effect through material gradation: A synergized computational and experimental approach.” This project is sponsored by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF) under the ARG Program. The role involves both computational and experimental work, providing a comprehensive research experience.

Position

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)

Eligibility

Candidates must hold an M.E./M. Tech. degree in Structural / Structural Dynamics / Aerospace / Applied Mechanics / Mechanical Design Engineering or other relevant specializations. A minimum of 60% aggregate marks or a 6.5 CGPA at both UG and PG levels is required. Final year students awaiting their final degree are also eligible to apply, provided they can produce the degree certificate at the time of the interview. Preference will be given to candidates with GATE qualification and experience in Finite Element software, MATLAB programming, and experimental structural dynamics.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 37,000/- per month for the first two years
  • Rs. 42,000/- per month for the third year
