National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, formerly Regional Engineering College, Rourkela is a publicly funded institute of higher learning for engineering, science and technology located in the steel city of Rourkela, Odisha, India.  Biju Patnaik Central Library (BPCL) of NIT Rourkela, named after the legendary industrialist and statesman, and the founding Chairman of Board of Governors of REC Rourkela, is functioning since 1965. It acts as main learning resource centre of the institute which constitutes robust collections in both print and electronic resources.

Description

Applications are invited on prescribed format for the following assignment in a purely time bound research project (Code: SR/22/MN/081) undertaken in the Department of Mining Engineering, National Institute of Technology Rourkela based on Institute norms and regulations. Name of the Research Project is “Development of a sustainable material using chromite mine overburden and other industrial wastes for stowing/ backfilling of underground mines in Sukinda Valley, Odisha”

Eligibility

Position: Junior Research Fellow
Essential: BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech in Environmental Science
& Engineering/Civil/Mining/ or any other related field.

Desirable Qualifications / Exp.:

Valid GATE score, Knowledge of statistics and GIS
software.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Junior Research Fellow Rs. 31,000/- per month
