Description

National Institute of Technology Delhi invites applications from eligible Indian citizens for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work on a DST funded project titled “Design and Development of Portable VIS-NIR Spectrometer for Detection of Pesticide Content in Fruits and Vegetables Products”. The position is purely on a contract basis for a duration of 2 years. Selected candidates will be encouraged to register for a Ph.D. at NIT Delhi.

  • Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
  • Project Title: Design and Development of Portable VIS-NIR Spectrometer for Detection of Pesticide Content in Fruits and Vegetables Products
  • Project Duration: 2 Years
  • Principal Investigator: Dr. Gyanendra Sheoran, Associate Professor (Physics)

Eligibility

Essential Qualification:
• Postgraduate in Sciences (Physics / Instrumentation / relevant field)
• OR Graduation / Post-graduation in Engineering/Technology
• Must be qualified with valid GATE / NET / national-level exam or hold own fellowship

Desirable Skills:
• Experience in optics, prototyping of instruments, machine learning, 3D/spectral imaging
• Proficiency in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python

Age Limit: 32 years (Relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/Women/PWD as per Govt. of India rules)

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • ₹37,000/- + 27% HRA per month
