Description
The Department of Water Resources & Ocean Engineering at NITK Surathkal is seeking a qualified Project Assistant for a research project titled “Quantitative retrieval and spatio-temporal analysis of soil quality parameters using Geospatial datasets and machine learning techniques in Western Plains and Ghat regions of Karnataka.” This project aims to leverage cutting-edge technology to enhance our understanding of soil quality dynamics in the region.

Eligibility
Candidates must possess an MTech in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, or Agricultural Engineering, or an M.Sc. in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Science. Alternatively, candidates with a B.Tech degree in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Science are eligible. A minimum CGPA of 7.5/10 or 75% marks for MTech/M.Sc. candidates and 8.0/10 or 80% for B.Tech candidates is required. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Hyperspectral and Microwave Remote Sensing, AI-ML applications, technical writing skills, and coding experience.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 25,000 consolidated per month
