Description

The Department of Water Resources & Ocean Engineering at NITK Surathkal is seeking a Project Assistant for a project titled “Quantitative retrieval and spatio-temporal analysis of soil quality parameters using Geospatial datasets and machine learning techniques in Western Plains and Ghat regions of Karnataka.” This project aims to leverage advanced geospatial and machine learning techniques to analyze soil quality, providing valuable insights into environmental and agricultural management.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a M.Tech in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing and GIS, Water Resources Engineering, Hydrology, or Agricultural Engineering. Alternatively, an M.Sc in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Science with a first-class or equivalent (minimum 60% or 6.5/10 CGPA) from a recognized university is acceptable. B.E./B.Tech. holders in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related fields with similar academic performance are also eligible. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge of Hyperspectral and Microwave Remote Sensing, AI-ML applications, technical writing skills, and coding experience.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • Rs. 25,000 consolidated per month
