National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, earlier known as Regional Institute of Technology was established on 15th August 1960 as a joint venture of Government of India and the Government of Bihar in the chain of REC’s (Regional Engineering College) in India with the aim to generate technical graduates of highest standards who could provide technological leadership to the region. It was among the first eight Regional Engineering Colleges (RECs) established as part of the Second Five-Year Plan (1956 – 1961). This was the only REC in the country which was named as RIT (Regional Institute of Technology).

Advertisement for Junior Research Fellow (JRF) Position A Walk-in-interview of eligible Indian citizens for the position of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in SERB sponsored research project in the Chemistry Department, National Institute of Technology Jamshedpur, Jamshedpur, India will be held as per the details mentioned below: JRF will perform the sampling of microplastic samples from various freshwater ecosystems. Further, JR fellow will also be engaged in chemical analysis, risk assessment studies, and compilation of data for publications. A good knowledge of hydrological modelling and material characterization are required. Eligibility

Position: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)–01 post
Essential: M.Sc. in Chemistry with NET/valid GATE score or M. Tech/M.E./M.S. (Environmental Engg. /Civil Engg. /Production Engg. / Hydrology/Polymer Engg. Or equivalent with minimum 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA.
Desirable Preference will be given to candidates having CSIR/UGC JRF-NET/GATE and working experience relevant to the project..

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs.31,000/- per month + HRA (as per norms).
