The National Institute of Technology, Calicut is conducting an online interview for the engagement of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) or Project Associate I (PA I) on a contract basis. The initial engagement is for one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance.

Project Details
Project Title: “Development of rotating packed bed reactor for carbon capture using a novel enzyme-based solvent”.
Duration: One year (extendable up to 1 more year based on the performance)
Eligibility
Candidates must possess an M.E./MTech in Chemical Engineering or Biotechnology with a minimum of 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA from a recognized technical institute or university, as a full-time program with NET/GATE qualification. Alternatively, candidates with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or biotechnology with a first-class CGPA of 7.5 (on a 10-point scale) and a valid NET/GATE score are eligible. Experience in enzyme production, characterization, and process modelling and simulation is desirable. Candidates without NET/GATE can also apply. The age limit is 35 years, with age relaxation applicable as per government rules.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- For JRF: Rs. 37,000 + 20% HRA (NET/GATE qualified)
- For PA I: Rs. 30,000 + 20% HRA (Non-NET/GATE)
