Description

The Junior Research Fellow position at NIT Calicut offers a unique opportunity to engage in cutting-edge research in the field of computer science. The selected candidate will work on a project titled “Algorithms and Kernels for Scattered Vertex Deletion,” which aims to explore advanced computational techniques. This role is initially for one year, with the possibility of extension up to three years based on performance.

Eligibility

Candidates should have a MTech, M.E., M.S., or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Mathematics, or allied disciplines with a minimum CPI of 6.5 on a 10-point scale or equivalent first class. A valid GATE score (within the last five years) or CSIR-UGC NET/UGC NET (Category I/II/III) is required. Candidates with a B.Tech, B.E., or B.Sc. in Computer Science & Engineering or Mathematics with a minimum CPI of 6.5 and a valid GATE score are also eligible. A strong background in Graph Theory or Algorithms is desirable. The upper age limit is 35 years, with relaxations for SC/ST/OBC/PD as per Government of India rules.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Rs. 37,000 + 20% HRA per month for the first two years
• Rs. 42,000 + 20% HRA per month for the last year
