The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) Bhubaneswar is seeking a Research Associate for a temporary position under the project “Quantum Computing using neutral atoms” in the School of Physical Sciences. This project is funded by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. The position is purely temporary and is co-terminus with the project, which is expected to extend until March 31, 2031, based on satisfactory performance and project extension.

Eligibility

Candidates must possess a Ph.D in Physics or a relevant area from a recognized institute. The maximum age limit is 35 years as of September 2026, with age relaxation applicable to entitled categories as per rules.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

• Monthly Emoluments: ₹58,000/- pm plus HRA as per rules
