Description
Maharashtra National Law University Mumbai invites applications for various research positions under the ICSSR Sponsored Project on “Regulatory and Socio-Economic Impact of E-commerce Platforms”. This longitudinal study examines aggressive pricing practices of fast-growing e-commerce platforms and their impact on traditional retailers and urban communities. The project combines field surveys, interviews, and legal-regulatory analysis to generate evidence on sales loss, socio-economic impact, and policy gaps. Selected candidates will conduct research on competition law & policy, cyber law, platform governance, and platform economy while working with urban hawker communities, retailers, consumers, and officials to collect high-quality data.
Position
- Research Associate – 01 Position (12 months tenure)
- Research Assistant – 01 Position (12 months tenure)
- Field Investigator – 06 Positions (3 months tenure)
Eligibility
Research Associate:
Essential Requirements: Post graduate in social science/Law discipline (55% minimum) with NET/M.Phil/Ph.D and 2 years research experience as research assistant in research project.
Desirable Requirements: Pursuing PhD or PhD, Previous work experience of more than 1 year in similar area, Relevant publications.
Research Assistant:
Essential Requirements: Post graduate in social science/Law discipline (55% minimum) with NET/M.Phil/Ph.D
Desirable Requirements: Pursuing PhD or PhD, Previous work experience of more than 1 year in similar area, Relevant publications.
Field Investigator:
Essential Requirements: Post graduate in social science discipline with minimum 55%
Desirable Requirements: Pursuing PhD or PhD, Previous work experience of more than 1 year in similar area, Relevant publications.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Research Associate: Rs. 47,000 per month (Consolidated for 12 months)
- Research Assistant: Rs. 37,000 per month (Consolidated for 12 months)
- Field Investigator: Rs. 20,000 per month in addition to Travelling Allowance
