The Department of Horticulture, Aromatic & Medicinal Plants at Mizoram University is seeking a qualified candidate for the role of Project Associate-I. This position is part of a research project funded by the Department of Biotechnology, New Delhi. The project aims to study the reproductive biology and conservation of Paris spp. in Mizoram, focusing on sustainable utilization and habitat restoration. The role requires extensive fieldwork, including sample collection, population assessment, and communication with local communities for species cultivation.

Duration: up to 20.07.2029 or as decided by DBT.
Principal Investigator: Dr. Ankit Singh
Eligibility
Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in Biological Science, Plant Science, Horticulture, Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, Botany, Forestry, or Environmental Science with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. Preference will be given to candidates with published work or experience in the project area.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Rs. 31,000 + HRA (9%) for NET/GATE qualified candidates
- Rs. 25,000 + HRA (9%) for candidates without NET/GATE
