Job Description

Applications are invited from the citizens of India for one Research Associate-I position sanctioned under DST-SERB sponsored project titled “ Quantum phases and non-equilibrium dynamics of disordered bosonic quantum matter in optical lattices with long-range Interactions” undertaken at the Department of Physics, Manipur University.

The Research Associate will be involved in the development of mean-field theoretical and exact diagonalization based descriptions of ultracold atoms in optical lattices. Further, implement the theoretical developments for numerical solution. During the tenure, the candidate shall also contribute to the complimentary tasks related to the project.

Eligibility

Essential Educational Qualification:

Motivated Ph.D. degree holders within the last two years or those who submitted their Ph.D. thesis recently, in field of Theoretical Physics having consistently good academic record can apply. Prior experience in the physics ultracold atoms is desirable.

Duration: Till 31 March, 2026
(The appointment will be temporary and co-terminus with the project.)

Remuneration

• Salary: 47,000/- + HRA per month
