Description

The Manipal Academy of Higher Education is seeking a qualified Project Research Scientist II to contribute to a cutting-edge research project funded by the ICMR. The project aims to develop a multi-matrix Vol atomic-metabolomic profiling approach for the early and pathogen-specific diagnosis of sepsis, alongside assessing antimicrobial sensitivity using animal models. This role is crucial for advancing research in the field of medical diagnostics and treatment.

Position

  • Project Research Scientist II 

Eligibility

Candidates must hold a PhD in Life Sciences, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biological Sciences, or Cell Biology, with relevance to the project. Experience in animal handling and surgical techniques on rodents/mice, such as tracheostomy, catheterization, and blood and tissue collection, is mandatory. Applicants should have published research articles involving murine models in peer-reviewed journals. Preference will be given to candidates with UGC qualifications and experience in metabolomics (GC-MS/LC-MS) and multi-omics data analysis. Strong scientific writing and communication skills are essential.

Minimum Monthly Remuneration

  • INR 67,000 plus 10% HRA per month
