The School of Social Sciences at Mahatma Gandhi University is conducting a research project focused on family systems in India, specifically examining joint family structures in North Kerala. The project aims to explore the dynamics of ritual worship and ancestral divinities within these family systems. Researchers will engage in both desk work and ethnographic field research in the Kannur and Kasaragod districts, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of the subject.

Eligibility
- Research Assistant: Postgraduate in Social Sciences/Humanities with NET/ M.Phil./ Ph.D. Expertise in studies on kinship and rituals.
- Field Investigator: Postgraduate in Sciences/Humanities with a minimum 55% marks. Familiarity with Studies on kinship and rituals.
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Research Assistant: Rs. 37,000 per month
- Field Investigator: Rs. 20,000 per month
