The MACS-Agharkar Research Institute (ARI) is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Scientist-C. This permanent position is part of the Genetics & Plant Breeding Group and the Developmental Biology Group at ARI, Pune. The institute is looking for individuals who can contribute to its research initiatives in areas such as biodiversity, bioenergy, and nano bioscience, among others.

Eligibility
- Scientist-C in Genetics & Plant Breeding: First Class M.Sc in Agriculture with specialisation in Genetics and Plant Breeding or allied disciplines from a recognised university or Institute or equivalent qualifications. Doctoral degree in Genetics & Plant Breeding/ Plant Breeding/ Crop Improvement or allied disciplines from a recognised University or Institute.
- Scientist-C in Developmental Biology: First Class M.Sc in Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related fields or equivalent qualifications. Four years of research and development experience in the required areas, evidenced by publications in reputed journals after obtaining an academic degree. Ph.D in areas of life science including Molecular biology, cell biology, and developmental biology or related areas. At least 3-5 years of post-doctoral experience
Minimum Monthly Remuneration
- Pay Level 11 in the pay matrix: Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700 plus allowances as admissible
